E6013 welding rod is a light to medium penetrating all-purpose welding electrode for use in all positions, on carbon steel. Runs on AC or DCEP (reverse) polarity or DCEN (straight) polarity. Good for general, all-purpose applications and joints with poor fit-up. Also E6013 welding rod has a high titanic coated type.
This electrode was primarily designed to provide good wetting and shallow penetration for thin sheet metal applications (using smaller diameter electrodes), but with sufficient penetration for welding medium gauge steel. As a result, E6013 is an all purpose electrode that provides a soft steady arc which is easily regenerated, easy slag control for vertical-down welding, low spatter and a beautiful bead appearance. E6013 electrodes may be used in any position with AC or DC (straight or reverse polarity).
APPROVALS: Meets AWS A5.1 Class E6013.
APPLICATIONS: E6013 electrode is commonly used for automobile bodies, truck frames and bodies, ornamental iron, metal furniture, farm implementations, machinery guards, storage tanks, or wherever appearance is important or desirable.
Suitable for all position welding of steel sheets and irregular joints even under unfavorable conditions.
Excellent welding technological performances.
The slag is fluid and when hardened it is compact and easy to remove.
Better for welding structures of steel sheets. Vehicles, buildings, machinery-manufacture, vessels and various structures of low carbon steel.
